Huntington Bank also offers Student Checking Accounts. Student checking is available to middle school, high school, or college students. If you are under 18, you must apply for this account in person with a co-signer or joint account holder who is over 18. The co-signer or joint account holder doesn’t have to be a legal guardian, but they will be obligated to the account.

You will then choose the Asterisk-Free, Plus, or Platinum checking from there. Students can choose a school-themed debit card featuring the University of Minnesota, Ohio State University, Walsh University, the University of Toledo, and Cleveland State University.

All checking accounts offer access to Standby Cash, which allows qualifying accounts access to a $100–$500 digital line of credit. They also give you access to 24-Hour Grace and the $50 Safety Zone, which means you won’t be charged if you overdraw your account by $50 or less.
